Since Monyog itself can run on Windows as well as Linux platforms and suitable Internet browsers which are available practically on every platform both of the following scenarios are possible:
Monyog on Windows.
Monyog web-server running on Windows - Monitoring MySQL on all platforms and also monitoring OS-data on Windows and Linux servers. To retrieve OS information Monyog uses SSH for Linux.
Monyog on Linux.
Monyog web-server running on Linux - Monitoring MySQL on all platforms and also monitoring OS-data on Linux servers. To retrieve OS metrics Monyog uses SSH for Linux. However with this scenario (Monyog installed on a Linux machine) Monyog web-server/agent cannot collect Windows OS metrics. However, we do not think it is a problem in real world!
View it anywhere you want.
Of course, the client where the Monyog output is being viewed can be any browser supporting AJAX on any platform.
Monyog can be installed on a remote PC as well as the server. It does not require processing, with agent-less monitoring it can collect and retrieve data from the server.
